This double DVD set which is packed with 2.5 hours of step by step instruction was filmed at one of Cynthia's Young Horse Days.
It covers all aspects of training young horses from birth to two year olds, showing you everything from:
~ the first approach and touch
~ catching
~ haltering
~ leading
~ hoof handling
~ worming
~ tying up
~ trailer loading.
Foals, weanlings and yearlings at various stages are used for the demos which show the most gentle, natural approach to take with your training.
Although it wasn't filmed on a professional camera, the editing and production is very good and enables you to find the chapter and information you want on each subject.

THE Best Bareback Pad

Liberty or Driving Line

This 10mm x 7 metre high quality yachting rope retains feel yet is light enough for the horse to carry from it's halter easily.
(The usual 22' or 7m rope is 14mm and much heavier).
It features a looped end so you can choose the type of clip you prefer or use a ring.
Two also work well as driving lines.

Cool Heat Blanket

This revolutionary 'Cool Heat' blanket has a unique contruction that allows the horse to regulate it's own body temperature using its natural thermo-regulation process. There is a good explanation of this on the Macs Equine web site so have a look if you would like to get all the facts.
The Cool Heat Blanket also has a generous tail flap, soft nylon leg straps and crossover surcingles. Barefoot Sculptor

Macs Equine has now come up with another helpful tool in the form of a hoof rasp with a handle called the Barefoot Sculptor.
The handle on the rasp makes the job of trimming much safer, especially for beginners or children. The rasp being slightly smaller and narrower than most, enables the trimmer to 'sculpt' the hoof, particularly in the quarters where a natural arch is required for healthy hoof function. The smaller rasp makes this an ideal tool trimming for ponies and foals.
Having a handle allows you to easily rasp with one hand.

Trimmers Apron - $175
Hoof-Care Aprons feature:
50 cm seatbelt webbing hip-band with girth elastic insert and quick release, easily adjustable Fastex clip. The hip-band is attached to the top of the apron on a curve and is designed to sit on the hips of the wearer to create comfort when bending over.
2 Knife pockets are standard and can be positioned either on your thighs or below the knee. They are tailored to stay open ready for the hoof knife or hoof pick to simply drop into position.
The apron is split and each leg is fastened with a Velcro strap that has 2 velcro strips to enable personalised fit of each leg of the apron.
Aprons come in 3 sizes..... Small, Regular and Large. Regular fits hips from 90cm upwards. The large size is somewhat larger in the hip and length.
